About CFTech

Conservative Friends of Tech is a network of Conservative Party members and supporters who work in, or have an interest in, the tech sector within the United Kingdom.

There was a record £10.1bn investment into UK tech companies in 2019 and between 2010 and 2018, the tech sector GVA grew nearly six times as fast as that of the UK economy as a whole. The UK’s tech and digital sector is worth more than £400 million a day to the UK economy. As such, we think it is vitally important to ensure that the Government and the tech sector work closely together to ensure the UK remains one of the best countries in the world for tech - and continues to attract the best and brightest entrepreneurs and minds in the world.

The Conservative Friends of Tech (CFTech) is an influential British group, based in London and supported by a wide range of Conservative MPs. CFTech’s mission is to engage in events, roundtables, advocacy and policy-work to improve tech policy and ensure ongoing dialogue between tech specialists and policy makers within the Conservative Party, Government, think tanks, media and the private sector. The organisation is active at every level of the Conservative party.
